A train (literally) of Michigan fans at the Cavs game in Charlotte

Submitted by UM Fan from Sydney on

A friend of mine sent this to me. This game is on NBATV right now. These wonderful Michigan fans are in the baller seats (of course).

Resistance is futile. The dictionaries have already begun to include this bizarre "not literally" definition of literally. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/literally

in effect virtually used in an exaggerated way to emphasize a statement or description that is not literally true or possible

  • will literally turn the world upside down to combat cruelty or injustice

Is there a story behind this other than "We're Michigan and we do what we want!"?  Because, personally I feel that's a completely legitimate story.

Oh my goodness!  how silly of me!

I was hoping one of the MGO members knew what was up with this! The local Cavs announcers acknowledged the group but they didn't know (or ask) why they were there. Another reason why I love this blog!
