I still think Alabama is playing with mostly 25-30 year-olds
January 1st, 2018 at 10:53 PM ^
The "Film Room" broadcast on ESPNEWS is pretty good!
January 1st, 2018 at 10:54 PM ^
If Alabama played the Browns the event would be bigger than Mayweather vs. McGregor. Except Alabama wouldn't even come close to winning.
January 1st, 2018 at 10:57 PM ^
Are you inferring that McGregor was even close to winning?
Mayweather was toying with him the whole match.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:01 PM ^
There was one point where Conor made the debatable below the belt hit. Right then it looked like Conor could have knocked Mayweather out if he didn't turn his back. I don't really know though. Mayweather was clearly the better fighter.
January 1st, 2018 at 10:55 PM ^
Kelly Bryant is not that good...
January 1st, 2018 at 10:57 PM ^
Alabama has to be juiced to the gills.
January 1st, 2018 at 10:57 PM ^
The thought of an all-SEC championship discourages me. Go Clemson!
January 1st, 2018 at 10:58 PM ^
Probably the worst place to ask this but is anyone coping well with our loss today? I'm considering deactivating social media due to Sparty/derpmedia presence. I find myself getting more and more irritated as the night drags on. Tough year.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:00 PM ^
Fuck them! Keep your head up.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:03 PM ^
Thanks Abe, you always know exactly what to say to cheer me up.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:03 PM ^
I’m coping fine. Honestly how are you not used to this by now? We’re going on a decade of disappointment after disappointment. Well always have northwestern and Indiana games though
January 1st, 2018 at 11:09 PM ^
I kind of just shrugged the loss off. Used to losing in stupid ways under Harbaugh.
2016 OSU is when I went completely bonkers (even managed to overcome 2015 MSU since I thought it was a fluke [lol guess not!]) and every loss since then has just been more toned down in terms of reactions because I'm just numb to it at this point in my fandom.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:09 PM ^
you'll forget about it by morning
January 1st, 2018 at 11:12 PM ^
When the ball bounced off of DPJ’s face. As Ace put it, it completed the “comedy of errors.” I told my son just before Peter’s last INT “I have a feeling we’ll have 5 turnovers by the end of the game.”
Nothing to do but laugh it off and get on with life.
January 2nd, 2018 at 12:14 AM ^
I had a nap, got a blowjob, and ate a snack.
It's amazing what that series of actions will do to your outlook on life.

fat guy touchdown!
January 1st, 2018 at 11:06 PM ^
It must be nice being a Bama fan and being pretty confident that your elite defense won't choke its ass off in the fourth quarter.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:08 PM ^
I imagine the Alabama defense probably appreciates the Alabama offense/ special teams not turning the ball over 5 times.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:18 PM ^
Bama turned it over on the very first play of the half, their defense pushed them back five yards and forced a field goal. It happens to Michigan...touchdown on the next play.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:06 PM ^
FATGUYTOUCHDOWN DA'RON PAYNEEEEEEE!!!!
January 1st, 2018 at 11:08 PM ^
We should have used the Winovich package.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:07 PM ^
Alabama up 17-3. The SEC is going to have two teams in the National Championship.
FML.
Well at least the Big Ten went 8-0 in bowl games.
Wait . . . what?
January 1st, 2018 at 11:42 PM ^
So you're telling me Rutgers (lol) didn't win their bowl game?
January 1st, 2018 at 11:59 PM ^
We are in a position ill suited to laughing at Rutgers.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:07 PM ^
An all SEC finals in Atlanta. Ain't that a B_____.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:07 PM ^
Just a stunning dick move there.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:08 PM ^
This play by play guy is full of shit in the form of hyperbole
January 1st, 2018 at 11:09 PM ^
Those pick plays are ridiculous. Guy was being blocked into the end zone.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:12 PM ^
Nick Saban. If you use something to beat him he has no issue absolutely stealing it to use for him. A lot of coaches have too much pride.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:36 PM ^
Our playcallers wouldn't be able to draw one up.
Our coaches wouldn't be able to teach it.
Our players wouldn't be able to execute it.
January 2nd, 2018 at 2:34 PM ^
off to a tight end.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:11 PM ^
Neg away if you need to, but this is why the committee's decision made sense to me, Alabama's ridiculous recruiting basically always makes them one of the 4 best teams in college football, and if your objective is to take the best teams, not the most deserving teams, if Alabama is anywhere near qualified for the playoff, you take them.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:13 PM ^
They are a safe choice if you are on the committee and you have any doubts. Can't go wrong. I'd pick them too.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:55 PM ^
The committee looked at OSU and said, "Barrett is playing. Better pick Alabama". It's hard to be competitive on that stage without a competent passer.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:13 PM ^
Pick 6.
Early night.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:14 PM ^
goodnight, Dabo
January 1st, 2018 at 11:14 PM ^
90% of the country won’t give a fuk. Might as well get used to it the way Georgia and Bama are recruiting. I thought Harbaugh was going to be the one to knock them off their perch and I believe SEC country did too but that doesn’t appear it’s going to happen.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:17 PM ^
I wouldn't crown Georgia as perpetual champs yet. Alabama is Alabama. It's super annoying but Alabama basically constitutes its own tier of elite, then there's everybody else.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:52 PM ^
I don't think the sec thought that Harbaugh was going to knock them off their perch.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:15 PM ^
pick six heart breaker. ooof.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:15 PM ^
Watching these two semifinals leads me to believe only OSU in the B1G is recruiting the size and speed needed to play at this level. My wife walks in and watches 30 seconds and says: this still college football? They’re so much faster and better than the game earlier.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:47 PM ^
Meanwhile Michigan is picking up NR/2 stars from the roadside. Sigh...
January 1st, 2018 at 11:15 PM ^

January 1st, 2018 at 11:16 PM ^
The Clemson fans do now...Turnover...Turnover
January 1st, 2018 at 11:17 PM ^
Well I'm not watching the Natty this year. As a school teacher it's tough to stay up on a random January Monday anyhow. In future years where the playoffs don't fall on a Monday They should flex some muscle on the NFL and make it a night game on the following Saturday anyway. They could have the Saturday divisional nfl games at 1/430.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:41 PM ^
Why would you need to watch a cheap beer? Seems boring.
January 1st, 2018 at 11:18 PM ^
A Deshaun Watson-less Clemson equals a 2012 Michigan performance against the Tide
January 1st, 2018 at 11:21 PM ^
They were fortunate enough to play in a weak conference and still managed to lose to Syracuse.
