As far as we've heard lately, they haven't even submitted for that yet.
He's probably just locking down a number while he can. he'll need one eventually...
January 29th, 2018 at 6:13 PM ^
How exactly does this point to immediate eligibility?
January 29th, 2018 at 6:15 PM ^
My bad. Changed the title. But all signs are pointing that direction per Sam Webb.
January 29th, 2018 at 6:19 PM ^
But there isn't any news coming real soon.
January 29th, 2018 at 6:24 PM ^
0.0, still don't understand why some people are so excited about a guy that may not even ever play at Michigan.
IMO if he isn't eligible this year I am not sure he'll ever play at Michigan.
January 29th, 2018 at 6:45 PM ^
because if he had been directly recruited to Michigan, he would be one of the highest rated recruits we have had since people started tracking star rankings around 1993.
I think Seth had him as like the #3 highest star rated player we've had in 25 years. That's pretty high expectations for a guy.
January 29th, 2018 at 6:51 PM ^
Stars don’t mean anything, just look at that Gary kid.
January 29th, 2018 at 7:53 PM ^
But Gary is really good.
January 29th, 2018 at 11:22 PM ^
Jesus Christ man...
January 30th, 2018 at 2:37 PM ^
I hear he was really good too...
January 30th, 2018 at 9:21 AM ^
woosh
January 30th, 2018 at 10:42 AM ^
that re-parted your hair....
January 30th, 2018 at 12:29 PM ^
...that was Awesome!!!!!
January 30th, 2018 at 12:24 AM ^
Seriously? I assume you must mean he'll be a bench player behind Peters? That's one injury away from a starter. Although based on evidence to date, we probably don't need to worry about Peters leaving early. It's not impossible Patterson wins the job outright in 2019.
January 30th, 2018 at 5:02 PM ^
I believe he means to say that Shea would withdraw if not granted immediate eligibility and transfer to a lower division school where he can keep playing
January 29th, 2018 at 6:14 PM ^
but there isn't going to be any news about his eligibility now.
January 29th, 2018 at 6:15 PM ^
So having a number means immediately eligible? I don't see the connection....
January 29th, 2018 at 6:16 PM ^
He’s playing corner? He’s going to have 5 freshmen in front of him on the depth chart. Bold move.meme
January 29th, 2018 at 6:19 PM ^
On the roster Oliver Martin has that number as well. I wonder who will have to change. #20 that he wore at Ole Miss is technically open. Walk on RB Tru Wilson has it, but I'm assuming if he wants it, he will have priority.
January 29th, 2018 at 7:04 PM ^
Is him in the #2 jersey
January 29th, 2018 at 9:01 PM ^
I love the swagger. I dont' care if he's here or not yet.
January 29th, 2018 at 7:19 PM ^
Ben VanSumeren will wear 20!
January 29th, 2018 at 6:20 PM ^
What about Oliver Martin :(
January 29th, 2018 at 6:37 PM ^
And #8 would be open now on offense.
January 29th, 2018 at 6:42 PM ^
Per my updated NCAA 14 roster and Michigan Dynasty, Oliver Martin will indeed wear #8 next year, yes.
January 29th, 2018 at 7:32 PM ^
It checks out, I asked my counter-strike friend.
January 29th, 2018 at 6:23 PM ^
Unlock the Swag
January 29th, 2018 at 6:26 PM ^
Looks like a 12 to me.
January 30th, 2018 at 11:55 AM ^
Just close your left eye and squint really hard.
January 29th, 2018 at 6:29 PM ^
The 2 is centered in his name.
January 29th, 2018 at 6:36 PM ^
that was my first thought too but if you notice the "PA" and the "ON" are the only letters not over the 2. symmetry. his number appears to be 2
January 29th, 2018 at 7:01 PM ^
Shut up, Toby. The number 12 has two numbers in it. GOD!
January 29th, 2018 at 6:46 PM ^
Hopefully he gets to field it this year. I can pull the old Nike #2 outta retirement if he indeed deserves it.
January 29th, 2018 at 6:46 PM ^
surely this means he'll win the Heisman
January 29th, 2018 at 7:00 PM ^
It's fine with me if he wants to wear #2.
January 29th, 2018 at 7:03 PM ^
CharleShea PatterWoodson?
January 29th, 2018 at 7:28 PM ^
I was hoping he would want 98.
January 29th, 2018 at 7:54 PM ^
Didn't you read on the internets that people freak out when QB's wear #'s they think QB's shouldn't wear because the NFL put in place a stupid number restriction thing?
January 29th, 2018 at 9:25 PM ^
The Detroit Lions started that in the 60's in training camp to organize players.
January 30th, 2018 at 8:09 AM ^
Hi, i'm sarcasm. How are you?
January 29th, 2018 at 10:05 PM ^
If your last name ends in "son," you get to wear No. 2.
January 29th, 2018 at 10:55 PM ^
Sounds like the Left Tackle from Rice had a great visit and Shea Patterson was one of his recruiters. If we get Anderson and Patterson is eligible to play this year I will be very optimistic going into the season. Bout time we had some good luck!
January 30th, 2018 at 6:18 AM ^
#2, Jack Blott, Center, 1923 All-American
January 30th, 2018 at 7:42 AM ^
but I really don't care what number he wears. Just want him on the field Sept. 1.
January 30th, 2018 at 9:44 AM ^
I think Patterson will be eligible. I think he'll be the QB. He'll make plays.
WR's need a coach.
January 30th, 2018 at 9:48 AM ^
this is not a "jersey" as in something that would go over shoulder pads and be worn on saturdays. this looks like the t-shirts that the guys are wearing to workout in per the 6am tweet from the university's football twitter page this morning. those contain numbers and last names on the back of them, so maybe he will change numbers till the time for games come and things start to clear up
