PWO Hello: Kraig Correll - 2018 C/DT

Submitted by AdamBomb on

Welcome Kraig! I can't find a ton on him other than Michigan offered him as a PWO back in October, he's teammates with DE target Jayson Oweh, and his older brother is a freshman on the Michigan wrestling team.

If I were a coach, I'd try to take as many OL as PWOs as I could. Seems to be the hardest position to gauge, by far, and the one where more random unranked guys make it to the NFL. Not a quick-twitch athleticism position like others.

I don't understand how we've had so many guys underperform in relation to their recruiting rankings or didn't finish their careers in AA in the past decade or so.  Guys like Kalis, Dawson, Kugler, Bosch, Fox, LTT, JBB, etc.  It didn't seem too long ago where UM was just pouring O-lineman into the NFL.  I wonder what has changed.

to lump JBB in with your list of underperformers. While his future as a Michigan offensive lineman is presently uncertain, there's no doubting his effort and commitment to regaining his starting spot.

That was one hell of a serious injury JBB suffered. His relative lack of career on-field production has nothing to do with "underperforming".

See Seth’s front page article from the other day. Also, it’s been awhile, but I seem to remember he sets several NY HS football records.

I thought these posts were supposed to be titled "PWO Hello: *NAME*"

Are there any fucking rules around here anymore, or is it just a free-for-all? Damn hippie millennials.
