OT: Matt Canada out at LSU

Submitted by lilwolve4 on

Matt Canada and LSU have agreed to parting ways per multiple sources.

LSU's divorce from offensive coordinator Matt Canada is final #collegefootball

BREAKING: #LSU and OC Matt Canada have reached a mutual settlement to separate. He will be paid $1.7M of the $3.3M his contract called for

Potential here for a new OC?

It may not be deliberate and I'm happy to trust you when you say it's not, but still, that's like saying you're not using a true bat signal because yours is subtly different - yours doesn't have ears.

The helmet is unlikely to mean something uniquely personal to you. Just change it. It's no skin off your back and it would positively affect the site if the proven insiders were to become less often confused for someone else.

In your defense, the other day u guys posted somewhat near each other on a thread, and indeed your helmet avatar IS different. But to be completely honest, every time I see it I think it’s umbig11 as well. It’s one of those things where u didn’t do anything wrong, but I’d guess unless u change it most people will immediately dart their eyes to your posts, then no matter how amazing a comment u just made, will not read it and be disappointed it’s not him. Sucks I know, but I get where Chalky/Omar (gotta love Michael K. Williams) is coming from lol.

He’s had good offenses at essentially every stop. His offense at Pitt last year finished #4 on the S&P+ rankings. Even this year at LSU they were #42. Not bad at all and the style of play at both Pitt and LSU is similar to Michigan.

Just seems like a good fit for a successful and well thought of Coordinator.

Cajun Brady and he didn't work well together.  I don't know why, but the internet rumor mill says Canada is a primadonna that expects no input from the HC.  If that's true (and it must be, because its an internet rumor) then its laughable that people here really think Harbaugh would hire him.  JMFH wouldn't work well with a princess, and he will be in on every offensive decision.  If the OC can't deal with that, he won't be hired.

would stay on just as an OL coach.

The last couple years he interviewed for a head coaching job at WMU and SJSU (didn't get it, but the fact he was interested in being a head coach makes it seem as though he wouldn't be interested in a demotion).
