According to his father Andre Rison, MSU wide receivier Hunter Rison will transfer due to not "fitting the system" and "lack of playing time".

I don't really understand this, he contributed decently as a true freshman. I guess it is good for MSU to avoid a Lavar Ball situation.

I’m not sure what more he could have asked for out of MSU’s “system”.

Lewerke threw the ball 40 times a game and has 2 years of eligibility left.

He's a legacy at MSU, so surprised he didn't stick. Expectations seem a bit out of whack, as he caught 19 balls as a freshman, but perhaps he didn't see that changing much going forward. He didn't seem to be on the field a lot (again, not surprising b/c he was a freshman).

I saw him in high school at Ann Arbor Skyline a couple times (he made some impressive plays -- not DPJ level, but still clearly D1 level) and the offense was so rudimentary it was bad -- it was basically, "Go deep -- I'll find you." Whenever he played a decent team, he'd be double-teamed and sure enough, every 4th or 5th pass, it seemed to be picked off.

College QBs throw 400-600 passes a year nowadays. Rick Leach and John Wangler threw it about 150 times a year. We can't expect college freshman to care about how Kirk Gibson or Anthony Carter did it; it's a very different game.

And upon reading the Mlive article, I don't know if the advice is terrible -- it's quite possible he would have sat at #2 on the depth chart for the next two years, as MSU's receiving corps is as young as ours. So even if he performs well, there are only so many balls to go around.

Again, I'm surprised he wouldn't stay, but if he wants to catch 50-plus balls a year (and he seems talented enough to do it), MSU might not be the place for him.

MSU currently has 4 players in the judicial system for rape. One had 2 offenses BEFORE they signed him. They have consistently fielded a roster with multiple players in deep shit - it's not an isolated incident but a clear pattern by Dantonio to keep "characters" on the roster.

UM has the occasional issue with 105 college-age males, but there is a clear difference in behavioral standards.

“Let’s not compare programs like that because we have as many problems as them”

“Actually, if you compare them, MSU has a lot more and it seems to be a systematic problem with Dantonio”

“I don’t even know why you keep track of them. It’s totally not worth the time”

Did you just contradict yourself in two consecutive posts?

I'm surprised "playing time" is his reason, since he played in 12 games and caught 19 balls.  Toward the end of the year, he certainly was a part of their (admittedly rickety) passing offense.

I have to believe there is something else going on here.
