Personally, I was hoping the Lions might draft him, although this is wishful thinking as I'm sure they'll just draft another boring offensive lineman. He was projected in the first round so not sure how much draft stock he can gain but have to respect a guy who wants to win for his university. The circumstances he had remind me a lot of Jabrill Peppers last year.

Boring offensive lineman? Do you realize that offensive lineman block for running plays and that the Lions have not had any semblence of a running game for over a decade? But sure Lions keep drafting skill positions all the time

He was projected in the 1st round by anyone notable. He's 185lb and a not every down back, who was injured most of the year, so yeah he looks like a Lions draft pick.

He's a legit Hiesman contender if he gets the same kind of blocking he had this year.  Once free, nobody can catch him, and he's tough in traffic.  That bum ankle probably cost him 500 yards and a couple of wins this year.  Kid can run like Christian McCaffrey behind that OL!

Nope. Trying to recreate a running game with backs like Abdullah and Love in the NFL is dumb. Guys like Gurley and Fournette are where it is at. That means not trying to recreate Barry Sanders or run guys who get put on the ground with any contact. Both of the Georgia backs are better suited for the NFL. Obviously Barkley as well but he will be gone right away.
