meta: no chatsports

Submitted by Brian on

Chatsports has an article up claiming inside information about Kareem Walker. It means nothing other than the author is extrapolating from the information we all know. They continually "break news" that is just them guessing when things are heading in a certain direction. It is the Ace Williams site, though they've abandoned that nom de plume.

Don't post links to it.

Actually, the entire site here is - on some level - a victim of ChatSports. As it is essentially an aggregator, seach any article on this site that you know is, say, a month old, and one of the first ten links on Google will likely be a ChatSports like to a screen cap of the page or to the page itself. It is actually shocking that one of the tag lines for ChatSports is "You heard it here last."

I heard last night that Kareem decommitted but could not find any information about that from a legit site. Apparently that news I heard is bull shit.

Even though "Ace" is prolly 25 or something by now I prefer to always think of him in high school punching out these stories at the dinner table while mom makes him something to eat.

I see him as Tom Hanks in "Big".

Once bestowed me with +1000000 points as he was semi-retiring as a mod just because he asked. I treated myself to a new post on the site.

I wanted a bigger MGoPenis, but it turned out that the size of my points account didn't matter. Or so said my MGoWife.

people one social media slinging the chat sports Kareem article around as fact.  Does anyone take time to find out if things are reputable anymore?

The only times I ever read Chatsports, or even think about it, is when people on here start threads telling us not to post anything by them which (1) reminds me of its existance, and (2) tells me they must have posted something that is getting people up in arms.

I can't be the only one that experiences this phenomenon.
