4th time that i have been out of work since i moved back to Michigan in 2005... 3rd longest stint but no where as close to the 16 months that i was out of full time work in 2009/2010... that time i had to go back to cooking for about 6 or 7 months until i got a full time job...

Went thru that last year when my company I had worked for 20 years decided to sell to the competitor right after Christmas Break! Luckily the competitor hired me on and now I’ve never been happier in my working life!! I hope the same for you!!

love to... but i wasn't able to get back the salary i was making at my last job before they cut it saying that it would help company out...

note to everyone... if your company ever asks you to take a pay cut to help the company out just ask to be laid off instead... in my case took a pay cut, and then get let go and when you are looking for a job while collecting you have to accept any job that you're offered that is with in 70% of what you were getting paid at your last job... so i was stuck if i ever got offered a job that was paying entry level salary...

I don't know how I feel about this signing day. It's way too close to Christmas. I don't know if my tank of emotions will be restored by December 25.

you seem to be plugged in somehow with this staff. I was wondering, with all the negativity from the fanbase about this class being bad --  how does the staff feel about this class? Do they know they've struck out on some big names? Is there bigger fish to fry in this class that we dont know about yet? Are they satisfied with this class?

The past two classes were great and the next one seems to be setting up to be great as well, I was just wondering what the feeling is like inside Fort Schembechler.

I should have worded that differently, this class is not bad by anyone's standards but those who expected Harbaugh to walk back into the NCAA and lock up the number 1 class every year.

But I could stand in Ann Abor and throw a rock in any direction and it would hit someone who is "dissapointed" with this class.

Why shouldn't we? OSU does. Seriously, why shouldn't we be able to recruit at that level consistently, given the blue blood nature of the program and all the money we have to throw at it (and I don't mean throw at the recruits).

Teams who actually perform and deserve to be top 5 year in and year out

Alabama

Clemson

Oklahoma

Ohio State

You practically have 8 other blue bloods fighting for one spot, and I'm probably missing one. Plus the Ole Mi$$ of the world, whomever that may be this seaosn. Texas A&M will enter the ring with Jimbo. Big name coaching changes catapulting classes like Minnesota to levels they never have seen. Oregon, UCLA, Washington, all have eyes on breaking into the top 10.

We are a blue blood program who at the peak of our run was a consistent top 10 outfit. Rarely top 5. Only #1 once. Get some perspective. Especially when all our money to throw at recruiting isn't going to the recruits like $EC teams. If anything, all our money would give us the resources to find the diamond in the rough 3 stars, lowering our class rankings...

I was saying they perform like a top 5, not that they get there. We aren't even on Clemsons level as a program currently, and people expect top 5 year in and year out? That is absurd, and I was using them to prove my point.

You may notice I didn't even include them in the "Teams who think they should be top 5 every year."

Clemson has had it going for five years or so, but was been a middling performer for decades prior, always finding their way to lose the big game.

As great as they've been lately, strange to see anyone think of them as deserving to be on a list of elite programs "year in and year out".  Might be premature to put them there.  Let's see how long they stick with Watson on to the NFL.

5 years is a forever for an 18 year old. Roughly half their football lives. And that isn't even the main point. 12 teams easily claim (not including Clemson) that they deserve to be a Top 5 recruiting program year in and year out. The math doesn't add up!

Top 5, Top 5, Top 10ish is a great three year stretch for us. Hell, we probably finish 8th/10th on that list of Blue Bloods in terms of performance the last 10 years.
