Big Ten Tournament Championship Game Prediction thread

The vegas line for the BTT title game was released. Purdue -3.5. I’d take Michigan on the money line. I think we win by double digits today. 75-65 UM. What say you?

I'm going to predict a 172-10 win for the good guys with Zavier Simpson tallying a triple double (points, assists, and blocks). 60 point game for Austin Davis off the bench

Haas took some tumbles yesterday, have to imagine giants recover more slowly than normal sized people. As long as we keep the glove on Matthias and the Edwards', we should be able to hang the banner. Between whatever Haarms rocks, Vincent Edwards' brown streak, and Carson Edwards' Lisa Simpson impersonation, hopefully they can find these kids a new barber as a consolation prize.

If Purdue shoots 35% from 3, they lose to Rutgers or PSU.  I think we hold them to that number with our perimeter defense.

Let's hang a banner, get a #3 seed and play at the Pizza Oven while Sparty gets shipped out to Nashville.

That emotional game and this being the forth game in four days is too much to overcome.  If the bench produces, then we will beat them.  Purdue by 6.

Haas in the paint, with Edwards, Edwards, and the accursed Mathias shooting from outside. But Penn State doesn't play nearly the D M does and only lost by 8, with their star player having an off night.

In my finely-tuned BB mind, it comes down to denying decent looks to those outside guys and hasseling Haas inside. Because as we now know Moe Wagner commits the dumbest fouls in the history of humankind (paraphrasing his coach) I look for Teske to play an outsize role in this game, and for Luke Yaklich to reach into his considerable bag of tricks to come up with ways to take the steam out of Purdue's boilers.  M by 5 in a close finish.

All my family is either at a film festival in Missouri or in a "shithole" country in Africa. Is Micheal Spath having a gathering at the P-Bell or Beer Grotto? Hate to cheer/drink alone another championship banner victory.

Would be insane. I don't know what's going to happen, but man it just seems stupid to bet against Michigan right now.

I happen to think we can win this one, but man, I have this image of it being by the slimmest of margins being that Purdue seems to have our number this season. It almost has the feeling of those Tigers / Twins matchups of old where the Tigers would occasionally pull one out, but it would be a 4-3 or 5-4 kind of game.

In other words, I'd take Michigan here.

I personally think when Purdue plays their best, they see one of the best teams in the country. Edwards duo + Mathias on outside. Haas inside, this has got to be the year for Painter to make that tourney run. I think a great test for our club today. Will be great to see how we play defensively.

Mo is a key again. Gotta stay out of foul trouble. I think they double Haas when Mo is in the game to try & eliminate the foul. Important we play solid help D to minimize the open looks. Biggest thing is Mo's O, if he's making shots, will be hard for Haas to stay on the floor. Mo is an awful matchup for him on D.

Teske/Poole - I think they will play key roles today. Need them to play well, especially Teske on D. If we somehow can guard Haas with Teske & don't have to double, yet avoid giving him easy looks, Purdue in big trouble.

is like a train speeding down the track...barreling down the track...Beating Purdue today will be the last stop of the regular season and a win means a Banner,  ANOTHER BTT Title and sets us up for the NCAA tourney...losing twice in games that coudve gone EITHER way including AT Purdue having that confidence  knowing they can hang with Purdue and just beating #2 MSU they KNOW they can hang with anyone in the Country...Itll be tight, gut wrenching and Nerve racking till the ends but Michigan wins 70-65..Defense wins championships
