Beilein: Wagner has bone bruise in his foot, remains day to day
Obviously, they're resting him for the start of the B1G schedule, just thought it was interesting to hear that there is an apparent injury to his foot as well as the ankle roll.

Man, I hope Mr. Welschof is ready to carry the torch for the B1G schedule if Wagner has to miss some time.

Carry the fackel.

Just like the Germans. One minute, they lift your spirits. The next, they destroy Poland...

I thought they bombed Pearl Harbor....

I doubt he’s back this year.

IIRC, Levert injury wasn't followed immediately by pure cupcakes

I knew there was more to it than a rolled sprain. Just knew it. God dammit. This thing is going to linger all season isn't it..
December 20th, 2017 at 4:14 PM ^
I had this all wrong. Thought it was a minor sprain. Oops!
December 20th, 2017 at 4:16 PM ^
Jan 2 ..Its a bruise not broke..I doubt this will linger..and couple of weeks to get better should be just fine..Not overly worried

Have you had a lot of bone bruises then? They can linger for a looong time. Especially in a foot.
I just love all of the new "contributors" here now.

God forbid someone with a new account has the nerve to actually post comments!

UNACCEPTABLE

I had a bone bruise in my foot. It lasted literally for years until the bone finally broke. At one point a few years in I was hobbled and could barely put any pressure on the foot for a week or two... But that didn't stop me from going out drinking and top-shelving some assholes that were hosting a party. God I miss college.

Is top shelving the same thing as upper decking??

At most, only 20% of the new "contributors" are actually WD posting under a new username.

Caris PTSD

However, I do like the way the team plays when Teske is at center. He's more of a traditional center, imo, and the team knows what to expect out of him at center and doesn't seem like they force the ball to him. Just let him get the put backs. Scorers don't feel the need to feed him as much as when Mo is in.
That could be all kinds of wrong, but its my hot take of the day.

This is bad news. My wife has a bone bruise -- it occured in April and it is still bothering her. If that is any indication, it might linger for the rest of the year. It might be a situation that it depends on how much pain he is willing to tolerate.
December 20th, 2017 at 6:04 PM ^
Can she play the 4?

I don't think so -- she swam 4 years at UVM. I'm not sure of the NCAA intricacies, but I thought you could get a 5th year of eligibility if it is in a different sport.

What was Caris' ailment his final year?!

The curse continues.

Well luckily he's got two weeks before he's really needed so I don't think there's any issue in resting him in these next two games. Hope it really is just day to day.
December 20th, 2017 at 7:32 PM ^
Reading your subject line I thought you were saying luckily he's got two feet >.>

Seems like Beilein wouldn't give up competitive advantedge by disclosing the bone bruise unless he thought Wagner could be ready by the time it's important

*advantage. On mobile, sorry

Get well soon, Mo. We’re gonna need ya!
December 20th, 2017 at 6:35 PM ^
He’s got 2 weeks to take off. No rush to play but we need him for Iowa that place always gives us headaches

Haven't won at Carver-Hawkeye since 2011(!). Haven't won at Kinnick since 2005(!!!).
