Per our tv contract, we will have one night game this season. Would you rather play Nebraska, PSU, or Wisconsin at night? My vote is for Wisconsin.

PSU is later though so the weather is likely to be worse.

My vote is Wisconsin. Home game against the most likely of our opponents to be a Top 10 team, in mid-October instead of early November.

Nebraska is the earliest game, but that one is probably good for an early kick. If it was Nebraska, 2 of our first 4 games would be night games. Wisconsin is in the middle of October and should set up as Michigan being 5-1 or 6-0 with Wisconsin being 4-1 or 5-0. Penn State is early November and Michigan should schedule that one early in the day.

...be the night game. Nebraska hasn't earned a night game and I really don't like Scott Frost. PSU is too late in the season. Wisconsin seems to be the perfect mix of being the right time of the season and an opponent that makes for a good night game matchup.

2017 November temperatures in Ann Arbor at night -

11/4 - 34 degrees

11/11 - 18 degrees

Compare that with October and you'll see -

10/7 - 61 degrees

10/14 - 57 degrees

10/21 - 42 degrees

If we had played Minnesota during the day it would have been 51 degrees out. Minnesota was a dumb choice for a night game, so I don't know how using that justifies making a decision here.

I think it should be Wisconsin. Probably our toughest home opponent next year, generally should be an advantage playing under the lights in the Big House... pending hurricane-level precipitation/winds/JOK under center.

I say Nebraska. It’s early in year, so better chance for good weather. It would be great to embarrass Frost and Nebraska on a national stage because I am sure the national media will still be talking about how good Frost is and talking about his success at UCF.
