@AceAnbender you can leave, man.

Thanks, boss.

... that picture is exceptional. In so many ways, it is perfect.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:39 PM ^
More exceptional if you read it as "Pooped Maize" like I did at first.
September 21st, 2014 at 11:29 AM ^
Me too.
And the picture fits even more perfectly. The magic is gone. The party is over.
They've all gone home.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:26 PM ^
Thanks, Boss.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:28 PM ^
called? Haven't heard anything since the suspension.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:56 PM ^
But there's no way they finish this tonight

Who will be the first columnist to use the "drowned" metaphor to compare the field with this program or Hoke's future?
September 20th, 2014 at 8:20 PM ^
Somehow that pic about sums it up.
September 20th, 2014 at 11:27 PM ^
That's a lot of water.
Now why is it not going down the drains like Brady Hoke's career?
September 20th, 2014 at 7:29 PM ^
written all over it.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:29 PM ^
has pre-empty the end of the game in Northern VIrginia.
September 21st, 2014 at 11:31 AM ^
A game of random luck preempts the end of a game where the game plan depends on random luck?
Sounds about right.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:29 PM ^
Somebody's gotta stay to brag about it when the ship is righted!
September 20th, 2014 at 7:30 PM ^
On the bright side, at least the roster will be in pretty good shape for the next coach.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:59 PM ^
Will it? I'm not so sure. There don't appear to be a whole lot of young stars on the team, and I expect to see a lot of transfers when Hoke is fired.
September 20th, 2014 at 8:47 PM ^
If there's any significant transfers when Hoke is fired. His recruiting pitch to the kids on the team was COME PLAY FOR MICHIGAN, IT IS MICHIGAN. He wasn't selling a particular offense/defense like Rich Rod, and most of his recruiting has been in the Michigan Man region. These kids didn't come to play for Hoke, they came to play for Michigan. I doubt many of them transfer.
Also I doubt he's going to be allowed to keep an office there and be allowed to talk any borderline players into leaving like Lloyd did.

I graduated in 2010. I've always come on this site to follow the team and peruse the angry opinions after a shitty loss. I've never been compelled to join mgoblog until now. In my drunken stupor, I felt it necessary to break my 8+ years of silence on this blog just to let you know how ridiculous your comment is. For the love of god, this is the dumbest comment I have read on this board in the last... I don't know how long. I only hope for the legacy of my alma mater that you went to Eastern or some other piss ass school to be posting some kind of garbage like this. I mean, I don't really know what to say. I am literally speachless. Yes. You are right. The world has rainbows and sunshine and lollipops. And no one cares how much money you make. And money can't buy you happiness. And social security is a solvent system. Literally. Speachless.
September 21st, 2014 at 1:02 AM ^
You may want to retake that vow of silence.
September 21st, 2014 at 9:06 AM ^
I think another "8+ years" as he said is the least he can do.
Let this be a lesson for everyone out there as well, always exercise caution, drinking and MGoBlog-ing can be dangerous.

I'm very sorry you suffered a massive head wound. I will pray it is medically repairable.
September 28th, 2014 at 2:53 AM ^
Apologies. I was indeed, very inebriated. I took my frustrations out on an unsuspecting board, and for that, I am sorry. However, I do stand by my opinion. I find it hard to believe that there won't be transfers if Hoke leaves. Historically, is that not the general rule of thumb with coaching transitions? And yes, I have sat in on a few lectures of John Bacon and I can't say I cared much for him. Seemed like a pretty arrogant guy and he is obsessed with the historical significance of Michigan football. I guess there is nothing inherently wrong with that obsession but I feel that strong ties to the history are what limits the programs progress. The Michigan base always appears to be so resistant to change and holding on to a history that is so distant by this point in time it's not very relevant. It's a fantastic history, but I don't think it should have the strangelhold it does on the program. I did not read Three and Out but I do know that it is about the Rich Rod era and I assume you are addressing lack of transfers following his exit? I think that would be more a credit to Hoke and his coaching staff than it is to the ties the players feel to the school itself. Basically what I'm driving at is that I don't believe any player would stay solely because "this is Michigan". Maybe that would have been the case 20 years ago, but in today's world I just don't buy it. Players want to win and showcase their talents for the next level, and that is not going to happen at a school in transition/turmoil. I would be willing to bet that the retainment of recruits between Rich Rod and Hoke is more the exception than the norm. Of course, I could be wrong, but that is just what my heart tells me. Anyway, that was what I was trying to say, but I was too drunk. Reminded me of the days when I blackout texted the ex GF. Atleast that still felt like college...

You may have heard of John U. Bacon.
He wrote a book.
It's called Three And Out.
There are many pages in it supporting this claim.
You are ignorant.
September 22nd, 2014 at 9:21 AM ^
I don't think "speachless" (sic) means what you think it means.
September 21st, 2014 at 6:03 AM ^
Lloyd might still do it.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:31 PM ^
of words spoken right there.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:35 PM ^
I envision lots of sighing, and there will be a very happy Jamie Mac, as Indiana is about to beat Mizzou late on the road.

This gave me a chuckle. I needed that

It'd be better if that was Maize Poop because that's all I saw today.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:39 PM ^
Dierdorf is clinging to hope so hard on this radio broadcast, even though it's pretty much turned into Former Offensive Linemen Anonymous up there.
Hell, Dierdorf just dropped Socrates.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:41 PM ^
I'm so surprised that trash isn't on the field...
September 20th, 2014 at 7:48 PM ^
but it took the team inside.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:51 PM ^
to the locker room.
September 20th, 2014 at 8:06 PM ^
that got me to chuckle...at a time when I could power bomb an eighty-year-old lady.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:41 PM ^
Hokes last game & weather?.... is this a sign?
September 20th, 2014 at 7:42 PM ^
Not because I am a fan of Michigan but rather by the fans of Michigan.
The game is far from over, the season even further. There is a Michigan home in Florida in which cold beer will flow, meat will be smoked and football will be watched for another 4 months. I've never suffered a losing season because I've never suffered a season without Michigan football.
Am I happy with OUR teams performance? No. But it's MY team and they will never hear my criticism until the game is over.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:49 PM ^
This. Michigan fans have become terrible. And unbearable.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:59 PM ^
Well, our TEAM is terrible and our COACHES are unbearable. That's about it.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:57 PM ^
I hope you are right, but I have a feeling that hoke and his tempo would burn the clock up on one scoring drive.
September 20th, 2014 at 8:06 PM ^
This Michigan house in Florida will be right back at it next week. Same place, same time, same MICHIGAN flag raised high in the front yard!
September 20th, 2014 at 8:06 PM ^
Then I'm not sure if we are watching the same team. We aren't upset just because we are losing, we are upset because this is a fucking joke. Has been for 8 years now. This is not Michigan, and I refuse to sit here and support my team unconditionally when they put that product on the field. They don't deserve our support right now, and Dave Brandon sure as shit doesn't deserve any more of my money. There has to be a point where we stop accepting this shit, and that time is now. If everybody was like you we'd just keep putting 100,000 in there and nothing would ever change for the better. Dave would make his money and he'd be fine being mediocre. Something has to change.
September 20th, 2014 at 9:14 PM ^
Someone downvoted this? Wow. You must love UTAH.
September 21st, 2014 at 7:50 PM ^
Brother preach.
September 20th, 2014 at 8:10 PM ^
The fans arent unbearable. The product on the field is un unbearable.
September 20th, 2014 at 8:13 PM ^
Glad to hear there's atleast a handful of fans who feel the way I do.
Keep the faith.
September 21st, 2014 at 1:04 AM ^
get off your high horse. Please. If you're bringing in top recruiting classes every year and fail to convert talent that is not unwarranted criticism. blah blah blah you don't unconditionally support your team blah blah blah you're bad fans blah blah blah. You sound like my mom when she went through menopause. At the end of the day, it is year 4 under Hokemania, and that is some shit ass product they have paraded on the field for the last 4 weeks. I don't think it's the least bit unreasonable to criticize for the horrid play we have witnessed recently. And I don't think it puts us in the realm of inpatient and stircrazy crappy fans. We just got beat by a mediocre ND team 31-0. Again it was 31-0. Honestly, you are a shit fan if you don't put pressure on Hoke right now, not a "patient good fan". The product on the field the last couple of weeks is indefensible.
September 21st, 2014 at 1:42 PM ^
We did not come here for optimism. We came hear to sulk and cause terror. Get your shit out of here my go fly.
September 20th, 2014 at 7:47 PM ^
Glad i gave away my tickets to the game. It appears I will be doing that the rest of the year if someone actually will take them.
